Tether Preston
Tether grew up in Akron, Ohio with her parents and two older sisters. Coming from Akron she was an avid soccer fan and attended University of Akron soccer games for most of her life. For high school, she attended The Hotchkiss School with Saviour. During her junior year, Tether spent the spring semester at the High Mountain Institute in Leadville, Colorado. Tether graduated from Connecticut College where she double majored in Environmental Studies and Economics, with a focus on sustainability. At Connecticut College Tether served as a head RA in a freshman dorm, a trip leader for outdoor adventures, and was the treasurer for the women’s club soccer team and the women's club hockey team.
